El nigeriano Chimezie Obi se incorpora al Sevilla FC D y abre la puerta a su compatriota Ola Great a realizar una prueba

El Sevilla FC D, equipo internacional del club, sigue incorporando a su equipo jóvenes talentos de todo el mundo con la llegada del delantero nigeriano Chimezie Paul Obi. 

El jugador de 19 años ya está integrado en los entrenamientos del equipo que dirige Óscar Olomo y ha expresado sus sensaciones tras su primera experiencia en el club. 

“Bueno, mi experiencia en Sevilla está siendo muy buena. Me gusta todo lo que tiene la ciudad, todo es genial en Sevilla. Estoy muy contento de estar en Sevilla porque es uno de los clubes en los que soñé estar. Así que estoy muy contento de estar en el Sevilla FC”, comentó sobre sus primeros días en el club.

Con la llegada de Chimezie Paul Obi, el Sevilla FC D sigue sumando jugadores de todo el mundo y además del nigeriano cuenta con representantes de Indonesia, Estados Unidos, México, Puerto Rico y Suecia. 

Asimismo,Chimezie Paul Obi, ha lanzado un mensaje para invitar a su compatriota Ola Great a poder realizar una prueba con el Sevilla FC D en los próximos meses: “Hola, amigo Ola. Soy Obi Paul, jugador nigeriano del Sevilla FC D y nos gustaría que pudieras venir a realizar una prueba con nuestro equipo internacional. Te esperamos”

Ola Great lanzó un reto a la cuenta en inglés del Sevilla FC en X sobre cuántas veces haría falta que compartieran su post en la red social para conseguir una prueba en el club. Al cumplir con la cifra, el Sevilla FC le abre las puertas a realizar la citada prueba en el Sevilla FC D, equipo internacional de la entidad.

El fútbol de Puerto Rico se hace un hueco en el Sevilla FC

El fútbol de Puerto Rico ha estado muy presente en el Sevilla FC en el pasado fin de semana. Leandro Antonetti se convirtió en el primer jugador de Puerto Rico en jugar con el primer equipo. 

El internacional boricua tuvo sus primeros minutos con el equipo de Xavier García Pimienta y disputó los últimos minutos del duelo de la 21ª jornada de LALIGA frente al RCD Espanyol que acabó en empate a uno en el Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán. Unas horas más tarde, Antonetti fue también titular en la victoria del Sevilla Atlético por 1-0 ante el Algeciras en el grupo 2 de Primera RFEF. 

Por su parte, el Sevilla FC D también contó un debut puertorriqueño. Fabián Rodríguez, que ya llevaba unas semanas entrenándose con el equipo, pudo debutar y jugar sus primeros minutos a las órdenes de Óscar Olomo en la importante victoria por 0-2 ante el Gerena.

Ambos jugadores han podido mantener un encuentro en la Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios para conocerse y poder tomarse juntos una fotografía muy especial.

8th Edition of the Master Degree in Big Data Applied to Scouting in Football

Organized in collaboration with the Sevilla FC Innovation Center, the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM), and Sports Data Campus, this course will begin on March 25, maintaining its offer in Spanish, with an English version coming soon.

This training program has established itself as a reference in the football industry, providing students with specialized education in the use of advanced data analysis technologies, scouting, and decision-making in sports. Thanks to its practical approach and strong connections with elite clubs, students have the opportunity to intern in the Data and Analysis departments of Sevilla FC, as well as in other clubs and organizations within the sector. Additionally, the master’s program promotes the development of high-impact final projects, where students can apply their knowledge to real-world cases.

The faculty is composed of renowned figures in the football world, including Víctor Orta, Sporting Director of Sevilla FC; Ramón Rodríguez Verdejo ‘Monchi’, Director of Football Operations at Aston Villa Football Club; Jesús Olivera Fernández, Head of Data Football at Sevilla FC; José Rodríguez, Performance and Data Analysis at Aston Villa, among others.

The Grande FC Academy visits Sevilla’s Training Facilities

The Grande FC Academy from Japan visited the Ciudad Deportiva José Ramón Cisneros Palacios to join the Players Academy program of the Innovation Center at Sevilla FC, playing a friendly match against the club’s Infantil A team.

The match, which ended in a 1-1 draw, was a great opportunity to strengthen ties with international football stakeholders, highlighting the club’s commitment to global collaboration and youth talent development. Played with great intensity and sportsmanship, the match reflects Sevilla FC’s commitment to initiatives that unite cultures and enhance the global impact of football.

The Players Academy program at Sevilla FC is an initiative aimed at the comprehensive development of young footballers on an international level. Through this platform, the Andalusian club offers players from different countries the opportunity to experience an elite training methodology based on the values, techniques, and playing philosophy that have characterized Sevilla FC throughout its history. This program also promotes cultural exchange and the creation of links with academies and clubs worldwide, strengthening its global presence and commitment to youth talent development.

The students of the Football Coaching Course completed the Disability Module

The coaching course offered by the Sevilla FC Innovation Center has recently completed another module, focused on disability. This highly important topic provided students with the essential knowledge to adapt training methodologies to the unique needs of individuals with disabilities.

The module featured participation from both footballers and Sevilla FC Genuine coach, Salvador Bernal, along with instructor David Blanco Luengo. It included a combination of theoretical training and practical sessions involving observation, development, and implementation.

This module aimed to equip future coaches not only with technical and tactical skills but also with the abilities and resources needed to work with players with functional diversity. During the session, attendees learned how to adapt exercises, manage inclusive teams, and promote integration through sport.

The Antonio Puerta Football Academy, together with Sevilla Atlético

The students of the Antonio Puerta Football School had the opportunity to attend as guests at Sevilla Atlético’s victory against Mérida in the match corresponding to matchday 19 of the Primera RFEF championship. The young players had the chance to step onto the pitch, accompanying the players of both teams as they emerged from the tunnel. Later, they watched the match together from the stands and celebrated the winning goal scored by Sevilla forward Leandro Antonetti. An experience they will surely never forget.

Technification Day at EF Antonio Puerta

A day of Sevillismo and learning after the Christmas holidays for the students of the Antonio Puerta Football School. The boys had the opportunity to train and enjoy the best advice from several former youth academy players of the club, such as Antoñito, Javi Varas, and Kepa Blanco.

Antoñito (Antonio Ramiro Pérez), who came through Sevilla FC’s youth academy, played a crucial role in the team’s promotion to La Liga in the 2000/01 season. In the following years, he contributed to the team’s growth in the elite of Spanish football with his dedication and quality in Sevilla’s attacking line.

Javi Varas, a homegrown goalkeeper, is still remembered for his outstanding performance against FC Barcelona in 2011, when he saved a penalty from Lionel Messi at Camp Nou, securing a valuable draw for Sevilla. He was also part of the squad that won the Copa del Rey in 2010, defeating Atlético de Madrid 2-0 in the final.

Kepa Blanco, another product of the club’s youth system, played a key role during the historic 2005/06 season in which Sevilla FC won their first UEFA Cup. In the group stage, Kepa was one of the team’s key goal scorers. He was also part of the squad that lifted the UEFA Super Cup a few months later.

During this edition, Elías Zamora, the club’s data chief, presented Sevilla FC’s technological projects to various key players in the Chinese football industry and local media.

This event has once again highlighted the club’s strong commitment to technological innovation, integrating artificial intelligence and data analysis both in the sports field and across its different business areas.

Furthermore, Sevilla FC has taken the opportunity to showcase the progress of its expansion strategy in China, where it has established itself as the fourth most-followed Spanish team on social media, behind only Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Atlético de Madrid.
