Sevilla FC has taken another step forward in its international expansion strategy, which is built on innovation, applied knowledge, and the transfer of high-performance methodologies. In recent weeks, the club has bolstered its presence in Asia through two key initiatives: the signing of a collaboration agreement with the Chinese city of Shijiazhuang and the delivery of technical seminars to members of Japan’s J-League.
Following an institutional visit to the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium, led by Shijiazhuang’s Vice Mayor, Li Ruifeng, Sevilla FC formalized a strategic alliance with the municipal government of this city of nearly 11 million people. Promoted by the Chinese Cultural Center of Seville, the agreement will allow the club’s expertise to be applied to areas such as youth development, coach education, academy design, and talent management, all adapted to the local context and supported by top-tier European institutions.
Beyond the sporting dimension, this partnership highlights Sevilla FC’s role as a knowledge generator within the global football industry. Through the Sevilla FC Innovation Center, the club facilitates methodological transfer, turning its experience into a valuable asset for emerging ecosystems like Shijiazhuang, which is currently transforming into a modern and sustainable sports hub.
Simultaneously, the club’s Innovation Department continues to expand its influence across Asia. Most recently, two specialized seminars were delivered to J-League professionals: Jesús Olivera focused on player tracking through data analysis, while Daniel del Valle explored tactical evaluation through identifying strengths and weaknesses in match planning.

These initiatives are part of Sevilla FC’s global approach to football innovation. For years, the club has shared its model with international organizations through training programs aimed at coaches, professional players, executives, and performance specialists. A strategy that consolidates Sevilla FC’s position as a methodological reference in the evolution of global football.
