Closing Ceremony of the Master’s Programs in Big Data and Innovation

This week marked the closing of new graduating classes from two master’s programs sponsored and co-organized by the Sevilla FC Innovation Center: the Master in Big Data Applied to Scouting and the Master in Innovation and Technology in Sports Entities. The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán Stadium hosted in-person sessions for both courses, as well as a heartfelt ceremony during which the club’s innovation center, together with Sports Data Campus, presented the official diplomas to the students.

José María Cruz Gallardo, Head of R&D in Football at Sevilla FC; David Sáez, CEO of Sports Data Campus; and Miguel Ángel del Barrio, Director of Programs at the same institution, led the final talks in the stadium’s Glasgow Room. These sessions featured contributions from Sevilla FC staff, among others, under the watchful eye of the club’s new Director of Football, Antonio Cordón. The official closing ceremony then took place in the stadium’s VIP area.

The Master in Big Data Applied to Football Scouting has now completed its eighth edition. This long-standing program, co-sponsored by Sports Data Campus, Sevilla FC, and the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM), has firmly established itself as one of the top courses for becoming an expert in identifying and analyzing football talent. Enrollment is already open for the ninth edition, which will begin this coming November.

More recent is the Master in Innovation and Technology in Sports Entities, which has been well received in its first two editions. Students have been trained in two of the key drivers of transformation in sports organizations: optimizing operations and creating new ways to engage fans and anticipate new revenue opportunities. All of this has been made possible through essential training in tools such as data analytics, artificial intelligence, and automation.

Enrollment now open for the Intermediate and Advanced Level Football (Soccer) Coaching Programs

Sevilla FC Innovation Center Opens Enrollment for Official Vocational Training Programs in Football Coaching

The Sevilla FC Innovation Center has opened the enrollment period for its official Intermediate and Advanced Level Vocational Training Programs in Football Coaching. These programs qualify graduates to work as football coaches throughout Spain and also provide access to certain university degree programs.

The training offer includes three distinct levels of Football Coaching certification. The first level qualifies the holder with the necessary skills to introduce players to football and to promote the sport.

Level 2 certifies that the holder has the necessary competencies to plan and deliver football coaching sessions focused on improving athletes’ technical and tactical performance. To enroll in Level 2, students must already hold a Level 1 certificate—either in football or futsal.

Finally, Level 3 qualifies the holder to plan and lead training for football teams and athletes, manage their participation in mid- to high-level competitions, and run football academies.

Upon completion of the advanced level, students will receive the highest coaching qualification available in Spain. This allows them to apply for an official coaching license, enabling them to coach in all levels of Spanish football, including regional and national teams.
