A total of 25 students make up this first cohort of a course supported by CESUR, a leading vocational training center in Spain, which will take place at Sevilla FC’s facilities on the Carretera de Utrera. In fact, following Tuesday’s event, the first class of the course was held at the Jes\u00fas Navas stadium. Sevilla FC and CESUR offer official vocational training programs at both Intermediate and Advanced levels, leading to a diploma as a Football Coach, qualifying individuals to work as football coaches in Spain and eventually to pursue certain university degrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This Tuesday, the inauguration of the first cohort of the Intermediate Level Diploma in Football Coaching took place at the Jos\u00e9 Ram\u00f3n Cisneros Palacios Sports City, one of the main new additions to the Sevilla FC Innovation Center\u2019s educational program for this season. The event was sponsored by three professional coaches: Xavier Garc\u00eda Pimienta, current coach of Sevilla FC, Jes\u00fas Galv\u00e1n, his counterpart at Sevilla Atl\u00e9tico, and Joaqu\u00edn Caparr\u00f3s, a former Sevilla FC coach.<\/p>\n\n\n

After a brief introduction by Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Cruz, Head of the R&D Department for Football at Sevilla FC, Garc\u00eda Pimienta wished the students a successful course and luck in their professional development: “It is an honor to be asked to inaugurate this course. What I can tell you is that it\u2019s a world that can be perhaps thankless but also exciting and passionate.” Meanwhile, Caparr\u00f3s emphasized, “There couldn\u2019t have been a better setting to start this coaching course.” Galv\u00e1n, like his fellow former professional player, offered clear advice: “Enjoy and make the most of this opportunity; it’s different from being a footballer but equally rewarding.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
