The 9th Edition of the Master’s in Big Data Applied to Football Scouting begins
On October 29th, the 9th Edition of the Master’s in Big Data Applied to Football Scouting began with an open class taught by David Sáez, Miguel Ángel Del Barrio, and José María Cruz
This first session, an open class, was held at 7:00 PM via telematics, as this master’s program is entirely online. The presentation was led by David R. Sáez, CEO of Sports Data Campus, Miguel Ángel Del Barrio, Director of Programs at Sports Data Campus, and José María Cruz Gallardo, Head of Sports Innovation at Sevilla FC.
The speakers welcomed the more than 70 enrolled students, highlighting the prestige of the program, which is well-established after eight previous editions. This program is co-organized by the Sevilla FC Innovation Center, Sports Data Campus, and the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM).
The ninth edition of this master’s program consolidates a reference program that has not stopped growing and innovating for over 5 years. With a community of more than 600 trained professionals, its constant evolution reflects the excellent reception and trust it generates edition after edition.
The master’s program aims to train professionals for talent detection. Students will acquire the necessary skills in R and Python to apply them in the world of Scouting, which is increasingly developed and driven by statistics and Big Data.
Thanks to the knowledge they will acquire in the master’s program, they will master the construction and interpretation of Machine Learning algorithms oriented to the specific needs of a club. In addition, they will delve into video analysis and the application of metrics aligned with a game model, thereby bridging the gap between raw data and strategic decision-making.
Although the course officially started on October 29th, the enrollment period remains open until November 15th. All information and the registration process are available at the following link.
