Sevilla FC continues to show internationally the results of its commitment to technological innovation. The club’s chief data officer, Elías Zamora, participated in the Gen AI Conclave organized by IBM in Kerala (India). As part of a conference on how generative artificial intelligence is helping technological innovation, Zamora presented the success story behind the launch of Scout Advisor. This tool, developed by the club together with IBM, is the first application to use this type of technology using the WatsonX generative artificial intelligence system.
Specifically, Scout Advisor is an application that has managed to bring together more than 200,000 scouting reports from the club’s database into an application that enables player searches based on descriptions made in natural language. Scout Advisor is capable of locating and categorizing players by understanding the technical language of soccer jargon and identifying virtues that cannot be measured with numbers, such as leadership, which are detected by the scouts’ descriptions in their reports.
